Abstract
DISPOSITIVO DE COMUNICAÇÃO SEM FIO. Para impedir o rastreamento à medida que ele circula através de uma rede de pontos de acesso sem fio (WAPs), um dispositivo sem fio muda o endereço MAC. O dispositivo faz isto pela randomização de alguns ou todos os bits no endereço MAC ou pela seleção do endereço MAC a partir de um grupo de endereços MAC atribuídos ao dispositivo pelo fabricante do dispositivo. Além do mais, a fim de confundir adicionalmente o rastreamento e tornar a analítica inútil, um dispositivo pode compartilhar endereços MAC com outros dispositivos, e verificar para certificar que um endereço MAC compartilhado não está sendo ativamente usado antes de selecioná-lo e usá-lo.
