That is, in a conventional system, since the inherent pressure at the downhole end of an injection line exceeds that of the adjacent downhole environment, the flow rate of the column of fluid in the line can naturally increase as product chemical is unintentionally dumped into the well. However, the use of the flow-based tuning mechanism detailed in this document can almost automatically prevent this undesirable discharge of chemical into a low pressure well.
