Abstract

MÉTODOS E APARELHOS PARA ESTIMAR A VIDA ÚTIL DE UMA VEDAÇÃO. Aparelho e métodos para estimar a vida útil de uma vedação em um dispositivo de controle de processo são divulgados. Um exemplo de método inclui estabelecer uma pluralidade de intervalos de viagem de uma haste ou eixo de um dispositivo de controle de processo. Cada um dos intervalos de viagem corresponde a diferentes valores correspondentes às tensões sofridas pela vedação do dispositivo de controle de processo durante um ciclo operacional. O exemplo ainda inclui determinar uma contagem de ciclos operacionais associados com cada um dos intervalos de viagem e determinar uma quantidade total de vida útil da vedação consumida com base nas contagens.
