MÁQUINA ELÉTRICA. Trata-se de máquina elétrica, notadamente um motor (2), que compreende um estator (6), um rotor (8), um primeiro mancal principal (12), projetado para sustentar o rotor (8) em relação ao estator (6) em uma faixa principal de velocidades, e um primeiro mancal secundário (16) projetado para sustentar o rotor em relação ao estator quando o primeiro mancal principal falha. O mancal secundário ou cada mancal secundário (16) é um mancal eletrodinâmico passivo que compreende pelo menos um ímã permanente e um elemento eletricamente condutor móvel. Aplicação para máquinas elétricas, notadamente, a motores assíncronos ou síncronos.
