Abstract

TOXINA NEMATOIDE AXMI277 E MÉTODOS PARA A SUA UTILIZAÇÃO. São fornecidas composições e métodos para conferir atividade pesticida a bactérias, plantas, células vegetais, tecidos e sementes. São fornecidas composições compreendendo uma sequência codificadora para um polipeptídeo de toxina. As sequências codificadoras podem ser usadas em construções de DNA ou em cassetes de expressão para a transformação e expressão em plantas e bactérias. As composições também compreendem bactérias transformadas, plantas, células vegetais, tecidos e sementes. Em particular, são fornecidas moléculas de ácido nucleico de toxina isoladas. Adicionalmente, são abrangidas as sequências de aminoácidos correspondentes aos polinucleótidos, e anticorpos que se ligam especificamente a estas sequências de aminoácidos. Em particular, a presente invenção fornece moléculas de ácidos nucleicos isoladas compreendendo sequências nucleotídicas que codificam a sequência de aminoácidos mostrada na SEQ ID NO:2 ou 3, ou a sequência de nucleótidos descrita em SEQ ID NO:1, bem como variantes e fragmentos das mesmas.
