método e sistema para determinar e gerenciar a presença e a disponibilidade de telefones celulares trata-se de um método e sistema para determinar a presença e a disponibilidade de telefones celulares, com o intuito de maximizar o número de chamadas completadas. um servidor da web monitora o estado de disponibilidade de telefone celular de usuários assinantes. uma aplicação de software atualiza periodicamente o servidor com o estado de disponibilidade de telefone celular do usuário assinante. mediante uma solicitação do usuário para realizar um a chamada de telefone entre telefones celulares, o servidor determina se o telefone celular de destino é um usuário registrado, se estiver presente e se estiver disponível; e realiza uma chamada de telefone celular somente se o destino estiver disponível. se o destino não estiver presente ou estiver indisponível, o usuário pode selecionar uma ação a tomar. a invenção diminui a sobrecarga na rede, e permite a iniciação apenas de chamadas que podem ser completadas. o método e o sistema podem ser usados para criar uma rede social ou de negócios entre indivíduos disponíveis e em localizações próximas que têm necessidades similares.
