Abstract
sistema e método para computações utilizando representações otimizadas do modelo de terra. é fornecido um método e um sistema correspondente para a computação, utilizando um modelo de representação de terra por meio de um sistema de computação com um primeiro processador tendo acesso a um conjunto de dados de modelo de terra. o método inclui a compressão do conjuto de dados de modelo de terra no primeiro processador para gerar uma tabela de consulta e um conjunto de índices de dados (isto é, de um modo coletivo uma representação do modelo de terra comprimido), em que a tabela de consulta inclui valores de dados quantizados. então se armazenar a tabela de consulta num primeiro nível de memória ("rapido") , e se armazenam os índices num segundo nível de memória ("mais lento", com maior capacidade de memória), a tabela de consulta e os índices podem ser acedidos para descomprimir seletivamente a representação do modelo de terra comprimido no primeiro processador de tal forma que o cálculo pode ser realizado de forma eficiente pelo primeiro processador.
