aparelho para resfriamento, e, uso de um aparelho. o aparelho compreende um arranjo de resfriamento com um sistema expansor/compressor, condensador e evaporador de forma primária para condicionamento de ar. uma fonte de calor externa é fornecida para transferência de calor para o alojamento do expansor. por exemplo, este meio de aquecimento é uma fonte de calor elétrica em contato térmico com o lado exterior do alojamento do expansor. de maneira alternativa, o expansor é fornecido dentro de um tanque de acúmulo de líquido aquecido externamente.
