Abstract

PROCESSO PARA ARMAZENAR ENERGIA SOLAR EM COMPOSTOS ORGÂNICOS COMPREENDENDO CARBONO E HIDROGÊNIO. É divulgado um processo para armazenar energia solar em compostos orgânicos. O processo compreende fornecer uma fonte de água e uma fonte de carbono. A água presente na fonte de água é ativada usando energia solar. A água ativada é reagida com a fonte de carbono para formar um composto orgânico que compreende hidrogênio e carbono. O composto orgânico tem teor de energia mais alto do que a fonte de carbono. Em uma forma de realização específica o composto orgânico é usado como um combustível em um dispositivo que geral eletricidade, tal como uma célula de combustível. Nesta forma de realização o composto orgânico preferido é metanol.
