Abstract
The present application for the privilege of invention is aimed at the poultry sector and refers to an innovative pattern applied in nests for mother and laying birds, nests known as the Dutch model. The inventive activity aims to make a new concept of nests for birds available to the market, since, in addition to offering special care for the breeding birds to carry out their function of laying eggs well, the proposal focuses on the ease of assembling the object, reducing costs of manufacturing and increase its service life. The nest for parent and modular laying birds (1) is defined by modules preferably made of corrugated polypropylene, with the cover module (2), the vertical support modules (3) and division (4), front modules (5 ) with reinforcing edges (5.1) and central module (6) that divides the nest symmetrically. Description
This application for the privilege of invention is an internal priority of the
The inventive activity aims to make available to the market a new concept of nests aimed at birds, since, in addition to offering special care for breeding birds to carry out their egg-laying function well, the proposal focuses on the ease of assembling the object , reduce manufacturing costs and increase its useful life.
The Dutch model nest (manual) usually has ten to twelve nests in each division in the upper part and the same number in the lower part, the nest being equipped with modules on each side of the equipment, at both heights, using as bedding for birds shavings or sawdust.
In the manufacture of nests, the most used materials are wood and stainless steel. Wood makes the nest cheaper, but the stainless steel nest guarantees a much longer useful life and easy cleaning.
The resulting problem when using wood as a raw material is the fact that there is a large proliferation of fungi and bacteria on the surface of the nest due to the humidity coming from the birds themselves or from cleaning the modules, which is harmful to the birds. Another problem detected in wood, as mentioned above, is the low useful life, with rotting caused by the same humidity over time. A third problem related to wood is directly linked to the high weight of the nest, making its transport and mobility difficult.
In the case of nests made of stainless steel, although their useful life is longer than wooden nests, the cost of acquiring the material added to its manufacturing process makes the product extremely expensive and requires periodic maintenance, as the screws undergo premature oxidation due to the acidic environment present. The weight, as well as the wooden nest, is also high, being a recurring problem in both nest patterns.
The next document number MU 8601612-1 requires an improvement in a nest for laying birds formed by a tie rod 02, a roof 01 in an inclined format, inside it presents the nests 03 that are interconnected by a drawer structure 09. This system allows the collection of eggs as well as the cleaning of the nests, guaranteeing 100% of whole eggs. The model presented has two floors of nests with lower perches 05 and 04 higher, with articulations on the lower perches for transport.
The third record number PI 0505001 -4 requests the protection of a mechanical nest, allowing the eggs, after laying, to be deposited for a certain period, until the collection system above the conveyor belt is mechanically activated. The nest consists of four large mouths (4) arranged two by two on each side of the equipment and adequately covered by mobile covers (5), with a central gutter (6) that serves as a support for the belt (7) to transport the eggs . A system removes the eggs (8) from the nests to the conveyor belt.
[011] Embora demonstrem soluções, as anterioridades citadas são voltadas aos processos de pesagem e coleta dos ovos, não demonstrando inovações no ninho propriamente dito ou outros itens associados à configuração, material e montagem do ninho, características essas que serão elucidadas no decorrer do relatório do presente pedido.[011] Although they demonstrate solutions, the aforementioned are focused on the processes of weighing and collecting eggs, not demonstrating innovations in the nest itself or other items associated with the configuration, material and assembly of the nest, characteristics that will be elucidated throughout the report of this application.

According to Figure 1, the nest for parent birds and modular posture (1) is defined by modules preferably made of corrugated polypropylene, with the cover module (2), the vertical support modules (3) and (4), front modules (5) with reinforcing edges (5.1) (detail A) and central module (6) that divides the nest symmetrically. All modules (Figures 2 to 7) have optionally rectangular holes on their surfaces (7) and flaps (8) along their perimeters that fit each other when assembling the nest, with said flaps being folded, after be inserted into the holes, and glued to the surface of each adjacent module by thermofusion process.
The cover module (2) (Figure 8) is formed by a plate bent at an angle in the center, being inserted in its holes (7), folded and fused to its surface the tabs (8) existing in the division modules (4). Other flaps (8) positioned vertically in the division modules (4) are inserted into the holes in the central module (6) (Figure 9) and fused by thermofusion on its surface. The flaps (8) of the central module (6) pass through the holes of the vertical support modules (3) and are adhered to its external surface (Figure 10). Finally, the front modules (5) are introduced (Figure 11), with the stabilization of these modules after inserting the flaps (8), belonging to the division modules (4), in their central holes (7), folding these flaps and adhesion on the outer surface. Flaps (8) on the sides of the vertical support modules (3) contribute to the stabilization of the front modules (5), with the folding of said flaps occurring and adhesion by thermofusion on the front ends of said front modules (5). Finally, flaps (8) positioned on the back of the front modules (5) are inserted into the holes in the central module (6) (shown in Figure 12), folded and fused on its surface, thus originating the nest for mother and laying birds and its upper and lower divisions.
The reinforcing edges (5.1) adopted in the front modules (5) are likewise produced from the folding of the ends and insertion of the flaps (8) in the holes (7) of the modules themselves (5) (detail B of Figure 13).
A second version of the nest (1') (Figure 14) uses the same characteristics as the first version, such as a covering module (2'), vertical support modules (3') and division modules (4'), front modules (5') and central modules (6'), all provided with holes (7') and flaps (8'). Other features are the gluing of modules by thermofusion and reinforcement edges (5.1') on the front modules. However, this version is intended for automated egg collection processes, including, as shown in Figures 15, 16 and 17, central tunnels (9) for the installation of egg collecting mats and inclined bases (10) with posterior openings (11 ) in the divisions of the nest that help instinctively direct the eggs to the central tunnels (9). Lateral reinforcements formed by bars (12) introduced in extensions (3.1') and (4.1') included in their support modules (3') and division modules (4') are used, as well as axles formed by cylindrical bars (13 ) coupled to the same support modules (3') and division modules (4'), just above the nests, for the installation of hatches (13.1) moved manually or automatically which are responsible for forcing the bird out.
[017] Por fim, os motores elétricos e demais componentes mecânicos empregados entre os ninhos são protegidos por abrigos (14) (Figuras 18 e 19) feitos no mesmo material, nesse caso o polipropileno corrugado, sendo esses abrigos compostos por dois módulos (14.1) e (14.2) unidos por abas (8’) posicionadas transversalmente e vinculados aos módulos verticais de suporte (3.1’) da segunda versão do ninho (1’) por abas longitudinais maiores (8”), ocorrendo o mesmo processo onde as abas são dobradas, após serem inseridas nos orifícios, e soldadas por termo fusão.[017] Finally, the electric motors and other mechanical components used between the nests are protected by shelters (14) (Figures 18 and 19) made of the same material, in this case corrugated polypropylene, these shelters being composed of two modules (14.1 ) and (14.2) joined by flaps (8') positioned transversely and linked to the vertical support modules (3.1') of the second version of the nest (1') by larger longitudinal flaps (8"), the same process occurring where the flaps are bent, after being inserted into the holes, and welded by thermofusion.
The main focus of both nests is to facilitate transport, reducing volume and weight, and eliminating the need for qualified labor in the assembly procedure, as the object is sent to the recipient completely disassembled and, only using a simplified assembly manual, anyone is able to assemble the nest, as there are no screws, rivets, nails or other more complex types of parts that require specific tools.
The material chosen, in this case corrugated polypropylene, although it has a density of 0.91g/cm3, it becomes highly rigid and resistant when converted into groupable modules, acquiring mechanical properties similar to nests made of wood or stainless steel. In addition, it is resistant to grease, oils, chemicals, solvents, acids and aqueous solutions of inorganic salts, it can be sterilized in an autoclave, disinfectant gas and gamma rays at temperatures above 135°C, it is a non-toxic, non-polar, odorless product and insipid, it is thermal and sound insulating, has flexibility, allows the passage of light above 75%, does not allow the formation of mold and other foreign bodies and is more efficient than glass in creating the greenhouse effect, originating very attractive nests and comfortable for the birds.
[020] Em se tratando de propriedades intrínsecas ao tipo de material, o polipropileno copolímero homopolímero é detentor de propriedade anti UV, antichama, antibactericida, anticorrosivo, antiestático e anticondutivo.[020] When it comes to intrinsic properties of the type of material, homopolymer copolymer polypropylene holds anti-UV, flame-retardant, antibacterial, anticorrosive, antistatic and anticonductive properties.
