Como já comentado, a parte inferior (3) do capacete (1) para proteção facial é uma peça em plástico flexível, que além de permitir os movimentos da cabeça tem a função de vedar por completo a passagem de ar entre a região do pescoço e a cabeça do usuário. A parte inferior (3) pode ser inserida interna ou externamente à vestimenta, e também acomodado ao pescoço por uma cinta regulável tipo velcro® ou similar. Para que seja possível realizar a limpeza e assepsia do capacete (1) para proteção facial, a parte inferior (3) é unida e fixada à parte superior (2) por meio de um anel (4) externo macio que também promove acabamento.
