Abstract
Textile waste represents a large part of the global amount of solid waste generated. An alternative for reusing fabrics containing polyester is chemical recycling via depolymerization. Thus, in this invention, a process is presented for recycling textile waste containing polyester using it as raw material for manufacturing porous materials, such as metal-organic materials (mof). the process involves depolymerization of polyester (i), precipitation (ii), separation (iii), drying, dissolution (iv), addition of chemical elements (v) such as metals to make mofs, crystallization (vi) and again separation and drying (viii). In this way, products such as mofs are obtained that are useful in various industrial sectors such as petrochemicals, water and effluent treatment, food, sugar-energy, chemicals, cleaning products and leather tanning.
