Abstract

DOOR LIGHT INDICATOR DISPLAY FOR INTEGRATION IN ELECTROMAGNETIC LOCK SYSTEMS

[001] This descriptive report refers to the patent application for a light indicator that can be integrated into electromagnetic lock systems. The object proposes the indication for opening doors so that when the electromagnetic lock is activated, the display will lightly signal the word “PULL” or “PUSH” according to the action to be performed, indicating, in any way, that the referred door is released for the user opens it and has access to the interior of the environment.

[002] The light indicator display can be activated manually, through a switch, installed on the external or internal face of the door.

[003] As it is known, the indicators are fixed on access doors and generally used for commercial establishments, companies or public places such as bathroom doors to indicate whether the environment can be used by men or women, through simple signs adhesive or screwed as well as plates hanging from the lock handle to be turned over only to indicate the conditions of the busy environment or not.

[004] In commercial establishments, hotels, companies and others, their entrances generally have pivoting glass doors, and they may have different opening actions, such as being pushed or pulled, also receiving adhesive labels indicating the direction of opening, either inwards or outwards. outside.

[005] Patent document PI 0710681-5 called “DOOR OPENING INDICATOR DEVICE” can only be cited as an example, which protects a card installed on both sides of the door, next to the hinges, said card containing three-dimensional arrows, red and green. The arrows work in such a way that: - with a red arrow and a green arrow, the door can only be pulled open; - with the red arrows, the door is blocked; with a green arrow and a red arrow, the door can only be pushed open.

[006] It is also known that electromagnetic locks have been used for some time using electromagnets with the possibility of integration with digital systems, controlling opening and closing remotely by a signal emitter by the user or by a command center, also activated by programs of computer. It happens that these new locks, because they have locking and unlocking made by electromagnetic means, do not emit any sound when they release the door and, many times, the person, even before the door released to be opened (pulled or pushed), does not notice this condition, therefore to enter the environment, which can be a dangerous condition nowadays due to robberies for example.

[007] Therefore, an ideal situation would be the visual indication controlled by electronic system to modernize the condition of warning to the user of the moment when these access doors with electromagnetic locks can be pushed or pulled towards the opening.

Patent objective

[008] This is exactly the proposal of this order, with the creation of a small display to be fixed on the access doors, especially for indication when activating electromagnetic locks.

[009] Through a pair of these displays, when the lock is released, by turning on its LEDs, one or the other indicates that the door can be either pulled or pushed. The pair of displays can work in two ways: making their LEDs turn on automatically or, depending on the installation location, flashing their LEDs as a way to draw more attention from the person's eyes so that they understand that the door is released for the action of opening, pulling or pushing it.

[010] Therefore, the display and its luminous indicator system of operation, reasons for this patent application, become essential for the person to perceive the release to enter the environment and enter quickly.

[017] According to the attached figures, the “LIGHT INDICATOR DISPLAY FOR DOORS, FOR INTEGRATION IN ELECTROMAGNETIC LOCK SYSTEMS”, object of the present application for a patent for the invention, consists of a pair of light indicator displays developed in configuration of a pull indicator display (1) and a push indicator display (2) equipped with LEDs and activated by the electronic control board (3) by its relays (4), said electronic board (3) developed with a digital signal input (5) of direct activation with the circuit of an electromagnetic lock, as well as a manual trigger button (6) and receiving its electrical supply by an energy source (7), being this electronic set housed in a housing (8), as shows figure 1.

[018] For its use, the enclosure (8) will be installed on the door (P) in order to integrate, through its electronic control board (3), with the electromagnetic lock circuit system (F).

[019] According to the project, when the lock's electromagnetic circuit (F) receives the opening signal, a digital signal is automatically sent to the input (5) of the electronic control board (3), entering through the same circuit as the manual trigger button. (6).

[020] This signal activates the electronic control board (3) which, through its relays (4), turns on the LEDs of the indicator displays (1) and (2) according to the action required to release the door (P), push or pull. The pair of displays (1) and (2) may have their LEDs in a flashing mode as well.

[021] Thus, the person in front of the entrance door (P) of the environment, perceives the release due to the illumination of the indicator light (1), which, in this case, indicates that the door (P) must be pulled to open, according to with figures 2 and 3.

[022] In case the person is inside and then leaves the place, it is noticed, by turning on the light indicator display (2), that the door (P) has been released to open and for this it must be pushed, as show figures 4 and 5. After the person passes through the door (P), through the timer circuit of the electronic control board (3), the displays (1) and (2) will be turned off automatically after a few seconds.

[023] The displays (1) and (2), in simpler situations, may have their LEDs lit manually through the trigger button (6) which can be located, for example, in a guardhouse, obtaining the same effect, to visually warn the person in front of the door that he is released, observing the direction of opening. The luminous devices or displays (1) and (2) can also integrate into simpler lock systems such as electric locks operated by solenoids.
