[001] The present patent application deals with a mechanical and electrical apparatus for manual removal of blood-sucking parasites from the skin of humans and animals. It is a device composed of a body that houses the electrical system, the source of electrical current and the control buttons. Two rods with mechanical tweezers, leave the body and end in shells to capture the parasite.

[002] In order to prevent the Brazilian Spotted Fever that is transmitted mainly by the tick bite of the genus Amblyomma cajennense, this invention aims to prevent the spread of the parasite by performing an intact removal.

[003] The present invention is situated in the field of biotechnology innovation.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION [004] Brazilian spotted fever is an infectious, acute febrile disease, of variable severity with a high lethality rate, caused by the bacteria of the genus Rickettsia ríckettsii, transmitted mainly by the tick bite of the genus Amblyomma cajennense. The interruption of the endemic rickettsial tick-wild reservoir cycle is extremely important for the control of the disease, since spotted fever in humans is directly related to the overpopulation of A. cajennense. The larger the population of this tick the more intensely the man will be infested and the greater the chance of an infected tick biting it.

[005] Another relevant fact refers to the removal of the tick since it cannot break, as the elimination of its gastric content is another form of contagion. Thus, it becomes necessary to control the vector

2/10 [006] Removing the tick from the skin of humans and animals is important especially when it is swollen. Compression of the parasite's body may cause rupture and thus spread its eggs by infesting the environment, in addition, it has substances that can be expelled by applying a clamping force.

[007] In view of what was discussed and considering the relevance of the theme, the objective of the present invention was to create a device for removing blood-sucking parasites without causing crushing or rupture, as it is firmly captured and released from the host's skin due to heating metal plates that come into contact with the parasite's body. In this way, the parasite can be extracted smoothly and intact, thus preventing the transmission of the disease.

[008] Most extractors are tweezers or forceps which can cause the parasite to crush or rupture, since the tips of these tweezers are generally either traumatic or promote traction extraction.

[009] Efforts to remove blood-sucking parasites from the skin using tweezers are often difficult, as they can leave a portion of the tick on the skin causing an infection. When there is compression of the tick's abdomen it can release toxic products into the environment as well as eggs when it is ready to spawn, thus causing an infestation of the environment.

[010] With respect to international patent documents, the descriptive US 4976718 refers to an instrument for removing parasites from a human or animal host, having two tweezers with the distal end with an indented oval opening to fix the parasite body without compressing or squeezing when the arms are in the closed position. However, the jagged tip can compress a larger or very engorged tick and with this it can break, as the clamp does not have a good opening width, in addition, the tick may be very adhered to the host's skin, which can make it difficult their withdrawal.

As it is a device that is difficult to handle, it can cause difficulty in the technique of good removal of the parasite, as its handle may break its head and thus contaminate the site with its contents.

However, as the tip is thin and retractable, this can break the parasite during handling, mainly during traction, in addition to its heated tip, it may come into contact with the skin of the animal or human being, causing an injury, as it does not has a protection.

[015] The EP 1983919B1 device refers to a tick extractor with a body and two moving parts between them, without compression of the parasite body and head in an enclosed space using the neutralization voltage of the tick by a lethal electric shock through a piezoelectric generator of 17,000 volts. By shocking the forceps and not having protection, this may cause an injury or burn to the host's skin.

[016] The device US 7699869B2 refers to a tightening tool for removing parasites from the skin of animals and humans through a device for rotation around the axis of the grasping tool, this removal clamp being disposable, which increases the cost of the device, as it needs a refill.

[017] The device US 4213460 refers to a clamp with two arms that distally presents itself with an oval tip and totally closed on top. This clamp apprehends the parasite and a thermal element or chemical agent is provided through one of the arms, which is affixed inside the tip of the clamp so that the parasite detaches from the host's skin and thus the retraction is applied through forceps strength. Because the tip of the extractor is completely closed, this makes it difficult to visualize the correct apprehension of the tick. As well as the use of chemical substances that cause the parasite to detach from the host's skin can cause damage to the host's skin, since alcohol, gasoline and kerosene can be used.

[019] DE 202004008467 refers to a non-thermal mechanical device for leveraging the skin tick with a pair of tweezers or forceps pulling it upwards. The receiving part should preferably be at an inclination of 30 degrees to 40 degrees in order to have an effective removal of the parasite. The side flaps can partially involve the parasite which could cause the rupture and thus the leakage of its content.

[020] Thus, it is extremely important that the spotted fever transmission cycle is interrupted and for this it is necessary to eliminate the vector. With the THERMAL EXTRACTOR OF HEMATOPHAGUS PARASITES we can effectively contribute to the control of the disease in both animals and humans. Until now, several extractors have been created, but we have this differential: a protected electric heating that facilitates the removal of the parasite from the hosts' skin, minimizing the risk of rupture and crushing, without causing injury or burn to the host's skin, in addition to a full visualization of the parasite during the procedure.

[038] The device consists of a body (1) molded in suitable material that houses the electrical system and the battery or rechargeable batteries (16) or not, being closed by a cover (12) screwed of the same material. From the body (1), rods (6) break in the form of tweezers that conduct wires that carry the electric current necessary to heat the heating plates (9) located in the catch shells (7). The body (1) of the device is attached to the cover (12) by means of a mechanical fitting (14) present on the rear pole of the body and by screws (11). A pre-heating button (2) located on the front pole of the appliance body (1) promotes the temperature rise of the heating plates (9) when activated.
