Claims

A multi-compartment single product packaging device comprising: a flexible pouch defining an inner cavity having at least two sidewalls, one closed end along one end of the pouch, and one open end; but closable, for receiving a product therethrough along an opposite end of the pouch, a pouch length extending from the open end to the closed end; and at least one permanent partition strip within the inner pocket of the flexible pouch extending from one of the open end and closed end toward the other of the open end and closed end, and having a strip length that is shorter than that the pocket length is said at least one partition strip forming at least two fluidly but separated communicating compartments within the inner cavity.

Multi-compartment packaging device according to claim 1, characterized in that the at least one partition strip comprises a continuous partition strip.

Multi-compartment packaging device according to claim 1, characterized in that the at least one partition strip comprises a plurality of successive distinct portions.

Multi-compartment packaging device according to claim 1, characterized in that the flexible pouch is constructed of a plurality of overlapping polymeric layers.

Multi-compartment packaging device according to claim 4, characterized in that the flexible pouch is constructed of a PET layer, an aluminum layer and a PE layer, or a Surlyn layer. ®.

Multicompartment packaging device according to claim 1, characterized in that the at least one permanent partition strip is comprised of a heat-sealed material.

Multi-compartment packaging for a single product, comprising: a flexible pouch defining an inner cavity having at least two side walls, a first closed end along one end of the pouch, a second closed end along from an opposite end of the pouch, a pouch length extending from the first closed end to the second closed end; at least one permanent partition strip within the inner pocket of the flexible pouch extending from one of the first and second closed ends toward the other of the first and second closed ends, and having a strip length that is shorter than the pouch length, said at least one partition strip forming at least two fluidly but separately communicating compartments within the inner cavity; and a unique product contained within the inner cavity.

Multicompartment packaging according to Claim 7, characterized in that the single product is substantially equivalently distributed between the at least two fluidly communicating compartments.

Multicompartment packaging according to Claim 7, characterized in that the at least one partition strip comprises a continuous partition strip.

Multicompartment packaging according to Claim 7, characterized in that the at least one partition strip comprises a plurality of successive distinct portions.

Multicompartment packaging according to Claim 7, characterized in that the at least one permanent partition strip is comprised of a heat-sealed material.
