Abstract

"MéTODO E DISPOSITIVO PARA SUPORTAR UM PROTOCOLO DE CONSTRUçãO DE TúNEL 6 PARA 4 ATRAVéS DE UM MECANISMO DE TRADUçãO DE ENDEREçO DE REDE". Um método de suportar um protocolo de construção de túnel 6 para 4 através de um mecanismo de tradução de endereço de rede. O método compreende as etapas de receber um pacote IPv6 de saída encapsulado em um pacote IPv4, traduzir o endereço de fonte IPv4 privado no header IPv4 do pacote de saída em um endereço de fonte IPv4 público, transmitir o pacote traduzido através da rede IPv4; e é caracterizado por compreender ainda a etapa de armazenar uma associação do endereço IPv4 privado e o valor de ID de Interface do endereço de fonte 6 para 4 para tradução de endereço oposto de pacotes de entrada. Reivindica-se também um dispositivo correspondente."METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING A 6 TO 4 TUNNEL CONSTRUCTION PROTOCOL THROUGH A NETWORK ADDRESS TRANSLATION MECHANISM". A method of supporting a 6 to 4 tunneling protocol through a network address translation mechanism. The method comprises the steps of receiving an outbound IPv6 packet encapsulated in an IPv4 packet, translating the private IPv4 source address in the outbound packet IPv4 header to a public IPv4 source address, transmitting the translated packet over the IPv4 network; and is further characterized by the step of storing a private IPv4 address association and Source ID Interface ID value 6 to 4 for opposite address translation of incoming packets. A corresponding device is also claimed.
