Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A PRODUçãO DE CLORATO DE METAL ALCALINO". A presente invenção se refere a um processo para a produção de clorato de metal alcalino em uma célula eletrolítica (1) que está dividida por um separador seletivo de cátion (3) em um compartimento de anodo (2) no qual um anodo (2a) está disposto e um compartimento de catodo (5) no qual um eletrodo de difusão de gás (5a) está disposto. O referido processo para a produção de clorato de metal alcalino, em concordância com a presente invenção, está caracterizado pelo fato de que compreende a introdução de uma solução de eletrólito contendo cloreto de metal alcalino para o compartimento de anodo (2) e de um gás contendo oxigênio para o compartimento de catodo (5); eletrolisando a solução de eletrólito para produzir uma solução eletrolisada no compartimento de anodo (2); eletrolisando oxigênio introduzido para o compartimento de catodo (5) resultando na formação de hidróxido de metal alcalino no compartimento de catodo (5); transferindo a solução eletrolisada a partir do compartimento de anodo (2) para um reator de clorato (10, 11) para reagir a solução eletrolisada adicionalmente para produzir um eletrólito de clorato de metal alcalino concentrado. A presente invenção também se refere a uma célula eletrolítica (1) para a produção de clorato de metal alcalino. A referida célula eletrolítica (1) em concordância com a presente invenção, está caracterizada pelo fato de que compreende um separador seletivo de cátion (3) dividindo a célula eletrolítica (1) em um compartimento de anodo (2) no qual um anodo (2a) está disposto e um compartimento de catodo (5) no qual um eletrodo de difusão de gás (Sa) está disposto, uma entrada para solução de eletrólito e uma saída para solução eletrolisada estão proporcionadas no compartimento de anodo (2), e uma entrada para introdução de gás contendo oxigênio está proporcionada no compartimento de catodo (5), em que a referida célula eletrolítica (1) resiste a um fluxo de pelo menos cerca de 0,5 m^ 3^h^ -1^m^ -2^ através do compartimento de anodo (2), e uma entrada para introdução de gás contendo oxigênio está proporcionada na câmara de gás (6). Said process for the production of alkali metal chlorate, in accordance with the present invention, is characterized in that it comprises introducing an alkali metal chloride containing electrolyte solution into the anode compartment (2) and a gas containing oxygen to the cathode compartment (5); electrolyzing the electrolyte solution to produce an electrolyzed solution in the anode compartment (2); electrolyzing oxygen introduced into the cathode compartment (5) resulting in the formation of alkali metal hydroxide in the cathode compartment (5); transferring the electrolyzed solution from the anode compartment (2) to a chlorate reactor (10, 11) to further react the electrolyzed solution to produce a concentrated alkali metal chlorate electrolyte. The present invention also relates to an electrolyte cell (1) for the production of alkali metal chlorate. Said electrolytic cell (1) in accordance with the present invention, is characterized in that it comprises a selective cation separator (3) dividing the electrolytic cell (1) in an anode compartment (2) in which an anode (2a ) is disposed and a cathode compartment (5) in which a gas diffusion electrode (Sa) is disposed, an electrolyte solution inlet and an electrolyte solution outlet are provided in the anode compartment (2), and an inlet for introducing oxygen containing gas is provided in the cathode compartment (5), wherein said electrolytic cell (1) resists a flow of at least about 0.5 m ^ 3 ^ h ^ -1 ^ m ^ -2 through the anode compartment (2), and an inlet for introducing oxygen containing gas is provided in the gas chamber (6). The present invention also also relates to a plant comprising the electrolytic cell (1) and the use thereof for the production of alkali metal chlorate and / or chlorine dioxide.
