Abstract
"COMPOSTEIRA PARA LIXO ORGâNICO". Objeto da presente patente, consiste num reservatório arredondado, verticalizado em forma de cone, com base (2) que em conjunto com a parte de cima (2) e de baixo (2), recebe a tampa (1) e a portinhola de correr (4) formando a composteira (5) que sem nenhum equipamento ou ligação de energia, começa a funcionar no momento da colocação do lixo orgânico, por processo de aeração, produzindo composto escuro com cheiro de terra pura. Estudos recentes mostram que uma família comum gera 225 Kg de lixo orgânico todo ano. Na maior parte dos casos, esse lixo se acumula em aterros sanitários, tomando-se potencialmente tóxico e, cedo ou tarde, pode liberar gases poluentes, principalmente metano que é responsável pelo "efeito estufa". Compostagem caseira é uma solução positiva contra o congestionamento dos aterros sanitários. Ela permite reciclagem de lixo convertendo-o numa fonte não química (natural) pronta para usar, e produz um excelente composto (solo regenerado) para jardins, pomares e demais plantações. O composto aumenta a quantidade de matéria orgânica no solo, desenvolve uma sólida estrutura de raízes, faz solos barrentos (argilosos) tornarem-se porosos podendo drenar, melhora a capacidade de reter umidade de solos arenosos, atrai e alimenta minhocas, balanceia o ph (acidez/alcalinidade) do solo, ajuda a controlar a erosão, reduz o estresse das plantas causado por seca e congelamento, melhora o conteúdo vitamínico e mineral nos alimentos e generosamente aplicado substitui fertilizantes petroquímicos.
