A presente invenção é um aparelho composto de um braço mecânico bi-articulado e ajustável, no qual a extremidade final comporta uma bandeja (33) com assento e aparador conversível, cuja finalidade precípua é a sustentação, para a leitura, de livros, periódicos e folhas avulsas e digitação de microcomputadores portáteis. A invenção insere-se no setor técnico das Necessidades Humanas, Seção A da Classificação Internacional de Patentes e possibilita, por exemplo, a que tetraplégicos obtenham relativa autonomia no ato da leitura diária e que, pacientes-usuários com paraplegia, surdez ou incapacidade física temporária, em estado pré ou pós-operatório, etc., capazes de manipular o material de leitura ou microcomputador portátil, tenham absoluta autonomia nessa ocupação."BI-ARTICULATED AND ADJUSTABLE MECHANICAL ARM FOR SUPPORTING AND READING BOOKS, PERIODICS AND BULLET SHEETS AND DIGITING PORTABLE MICROPUTERS".
