Abstract
"SISTEMA E MéTODO PARA A DIFUSãO DE SINAIS CODIFICADOS INDEPENDENTEMENTE EM CANAIS ATSC". O padrão ATSC para difusão de televisão digital especifica um Canal de Dados em adição aos canais normais de áudio e vídeo. uma metodologia é fornecida para utilizar o Canal de dados ATSC para difundir correntes de vídeo MPEG-4, para as quais um novo serviço de vídeo é criado. As correntes MPEG-4 podem ser encapsuladas em pacotes MPEG-2PES (Correntes Elementares Empacotadas) ou diretamente em pacotes de transporte MPEG-2. The ATSC standard for digital television broadcasting specifies a Data Channel in addition to normal audio and video channels. A methodology is provided to use the ATSC Data Channel to broadcast MPEG-4 video streams, for which a new video service is created. MPEG-4 chains can be encapsulated in MPEG-2PES (Packaged Elementary Chains) packets or directly in MPEG-2 transport packets. This mechanism allows synchronized broadcasting of MPEG-4 streams to an ATSC digital TV system without a change in the ATSC standard when broadcasting data. In a video and audio information transmission system, where the system is restricted to operate according to a given standard, including the application of a particular coding methodology, the transmission of information using a coding methodology that is independent of the coding methodology is provided by coding the information in a plurality of coded increments (310) according to the independent coding methodology; and encapsulating the encoded information increments in a payload portion (324) of the transmission packets established according to the given standard.
