Abstract

"REDE E MéTODO PAPA TRANSMITIR SINAIS ANALóGICOS REVERSOS PELA SUB-AMOSTRAGEM DA LARGURA DE BANDA REVERSA DIGITAL". A presente invenção descreve um método para transmitir sinais analógicos reversos (figura 5) dentro de uma parte específica de uma banda reversa em um sistema de comunicação HFC. O equipamento de assinante (505a-n) recebe entrada que define a parte específica da banda para transmitir sinais analógicos reversos. Um transmissor óptico (515) então converte os sinais reversos recebidos em sinais reversos digitais e transmite os sinais reversos digitais a uma velocidade de relógio especificada. Devido ao deslocamento dos sinais reversos digitais dentro da largura de banda reversa, o deslocamento dos sinais digitais recebidos reflete a largura de banda específica dentro da qual os sinais reversos foram originalmente transmitidos. Um receptor óptico (520) então recebe os sinais reversos digitais deslocados e os converte de volta aos sinais analógicos reversos originais, em que transmitir os sinais analógicos reversos que são confinados a uma largura de banda específica e sub-amostrar a largura de banda específica dentro da largura de banda reversa permite uma diminuição substancial na velocidade de bit por todo o sistema de comunicação HFC permitindo uma rede de transição entre a rede HFC e uma rede digital.
