Each reinforcing element (10a, 10b) includes a body having a first frame portion (12) and a second frame portion (20) having a variable height profile including at least one apex (A). The body may be integrally formed of a single piece of material, or two formed from more separate pieces of material attached or joined together. The body may be T-shaped (312, 320), L-shaped (310) or F-shaped (212, 220) in cross section. The second body part may have an inverted V-shaped profile (520), an inverted W-shaped profile (620), or an arcuate profile (420). At least one apex may be located at the midpoint (M) or elsewhere along the body length.
