Abstract
"TUBO PARA BARRA DE DIREçãO COM DEFORMAçãO CONTROLADA". Trata-se a invenção de um tubo para barra de direção com deformação controlada, para ser utilizada em veículos automotores, nos quais utiliza-se processos de conformação controlada ou localizada, com técnicas de pressão hidráulica (hydroforming) ou prensagem convencional, que produzem nos tubos diversas formas de perfis, tais como, quadrado, sextavado, estrelado, etc..., perfis estes, que são posicionados de modo a aumentar a resistência do tubo no sentido em que o mesmo é mais solicitado, reforçando assim a sua resistência à flexão. Com esta técnica pode-se utilizar tubos com paredes de espessura menor que a dos tubos convencionais utilizados em barras de direção, o que vem atender às exigências de redução de peso dos projetos atuais, sem entretanto, causar qualquer prejuízo à condição de segurança que precisa ter uma barra de direção veicular. A deformação controlada pode ser utilizada em toda a extensão do tubo quando se tratar de uma barra de direção reta, ou pode ser localizada nas curvas do tubo, quando a barra de direção possuir este formato, mas, em qualquer situação, os perfis resultantes desta deformação deverão sempre estar posicionados no sentido em que o tubo ou a curva são mais solicitados, para aumentar sua resistência."CONTROLLED DEFORMATION STEERING BAR TUBE".
