Um granulado sanitário para tratamento e manejo de dejetos de animais domésticos é obtido ativando-se a vermiculita expandida com substância ácidas e básicas. Estas são solubilizadas na estrutura da vermiculita por meio dos mecanismos de adsorção e absorção. Uma sinergia entre as propriedades físico-químicas da vermiculita e as substâncias potencialmente ativas é alcançada através de um processamento que envolve uma mistura, sólido-sólido e sólido-líquido, e uma posterior secagem a temperaturas inferiores a 110<198>C. O produto resultante caracteriza-se por sua baixa densidade e sua alta atividade bactericida, bacterostática e fungicida."SANITARY GRANULATE USED IN THE TREATMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF DOMESTIC ANIMAL WASTE, AND PREPARATION PROCESS".
