Abstract

"SENSOR PARA ANáLISE DE MISTURAS POR SELETIVIDADE GLOBAL E SEU USO EM SISTEMA SENSORIAL". FOR GLOBAL SELECTIVE MIXTURE ANALYSIS AND ITS USE IN SENSORY SYSTEM". The object of the present invention is to provide a means of detection and evaluation of mixtures, based on the concept of global selectivity, with enhanced sensitivity and selectivity. One embodiment relates to a sensor for global selectivity mixture analysis comprising at least two sensory units consisting of: (a) interdigitated electrodes or microelectrodes coated with at least one ultrafine film monolayer of a physical affinity film-forming material - chemistry by the peculiar substances of the mixture to be analyzed, selected from the group consisting of complexing conductive polymer, complexing substance and combinations thereof and, optionally, (b) uncoated interdigitated electrodes or microelectrodes. Another embodiment concerns a sensory system comprising: (1) at least two sensing units generating an electrical signal, consisting of: (a) interdigitated electrodes or microelectrodes coated with at least one ultra-thin film monolayer of a film-forming material with physicochemical affinity for the peculiar substances of the mixture to be analyzed selected from the group consisting of complexing conductive polymer, complexing substance and combinations thereof and, optionally, (b) uncoated interdigitated electrodes or microelectrodes; (2) electrical signal receiving means, obtained by alternating current measurements, emitted by the sensory units in contact with the material to be analyzed and (3) measurement processing means for analyzing the response pattern of the set formed by the different sensory units. The sensor can be applied, among other uses, in taste analysis and quality monitoring of products for human consumption, in particular beverages and foods in liquid form, and in the evaluation and detection of humic substances and other contaminants (organic and inorganic) of water from natural sources (rivers, lakes, lagoons, etc.) for quality control and environmental preservation.
