Abstract

Trata-se de um método e um aparelho para remoção de água livre, emulsionada, ou dissolvida, de líquidos de baixa volatilidade tais como óleo. O líquido de baixa volatilidade é removido mediante contato da corrente de fluido de interesse com um lado de uma membrana semi-permeável. A membrana divide uma câmara de separação em um lado de alimentação para o qual é alimentada a corrente de fluido, e um lado de permeado do qual a água é removida. O lado de permeado da câmara é mantido em uma pressão de água parcial baixa mediante a presença de um vácuo, ou mediante utilização de um gás de varredura."OIL DEHYDRATION PROCESS AND DEVICE, LOW VOLATILITY LIQUID DEHYDRATION PROCESS AND OIL DEHYDRATION PROCESS". It is a method and apparatus for removing free, emulsified, or dissolved water from low volatility liquids such as oil. Low volatility liquid is removed by contacting the fluid stream of interest with one side of a semipermeable membrane. The membrane divides a separation chamber into a feed side to which the fluid stream is fed, and a permeate side from which water is removed. The permeate side of the chamber is maintained at low partial water pressure by the presence of a vacuum or by the use of a sweep gas.
