Abstract
TO PROMOTE EDIBLE ANIMAL DEVELOPMENT, SUBSTANTIALLY REDUCE OR ELIMINATE DISEASE INCIDENCE AND TO PRODUCE A MICROBIAN ADHERENCE INHIBITOR, AND, MICROBIAN ADHERENCE ADHIBITION IN BIRDS together with the method of manufacturing it and methods of using them. The inhibitor works by substantially preventing the binding and adherence of colony forming immunogens in the rumen and intestinal tract of the edible host animals. The inhibitor is produced by inoculating female birds with the immunogen by harvesting the eggs containing the antibodies with the immunogen, drying the egg contents and adding them to the feed or water for the host animals. Depending on the particular immunogen with which the female bird is inoculated, the antibody in the egg is used to promote the development of edible animals by improving feed conversion rates by decreasing the loss of dietary protein caused by the presence of certain food-forming organisms. colony in animals, and substantially reduce or eliminate the incidence of disease caused by the presence of certain disease-causing colony-forming immunogens, such as E. coli 0157: H7, in the meat of edible animals, and other edible materials.
