Abstract

"MéTODO PARA COMUNICAçãO COM UM Nó MóVEL NUM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçõES, E, SISTEMA PARA COMUNICAçãO COM UM Nó MóVEL NUMA REDE DE COMUNICAçõES SEM FIO". A presente invenção se refere a um sistema aperfeiçoado de comunicações sem fio capaz de transmitir eficientemente pacotes de dados de tamanho menor (por exemplo, de 10 a 20 bytes de comprimento) que são freq³entemente entregues (por exemplo, de 10 a 20 mseg) a nós móveis no sistema de comunicações, tal como comunicações de voz. Como um comprimento de cabeçalho TCP/IP ou UDP/IP descomprimido é desproporcionalmente grande em comparação com os pacotes de dados de tamanho menor, a largura de faixa na conexão de ligação terrestre entre a unidade controladora de estação base (BSC) e a estação transceptora base (BTS) não é utilizada da maneira mais eficiente possível. A presente invenção otimiza a transmissão de pacotes de informações na conexão de ligação terrestre empregando um protocolo de Camada de Adaptação IP (IPAL) para mapear as conexões de usuário, eliminar o cabeçalho grande nos pacotes de informações que possuem tamanhos de pacote de dados menores, e concatenar os pacotes de dados para formar um pacote de informações IPAL para disposição em túnel na conexão de ligação terrestre. Desta maneira, a presente invenção utiliza mais eficientemente a largura de faixa disponível na conexão de ligação terrestre reduzindo seletivamente o espaço superior (por exemplo, cabeçalhos) da transmissão de pacote de informações.
