Abstract

"FONTE SìSMICA, E, MéTODO PARA GERAR ONDAS SìSMICAS EM UMA FORMAçãO CIRCUNDANDO UM FURO DE SONDAGEM". Uma fonte sísmica estendida axialmente é revelada. Em um modo de realização, a fonte sísmica inclui múltiplas câmaras de armazenamento de pressão, cada uma tendo uma válvula de entrada e uma válvula de saída. A válvula de entrada é acoplada entre a câmara de armazenamento de pressão e o interior da coluna de perfuração (8), e a válvula de saída é similarmente acoplada entre a câmara de armazenamento de pressão e o espaço anular (20) ao redor da coluna de perfuração. O uso de múltiplas câmaras de armazenamento de pressão permite que a pressão da fonte sísmica seja estendida axialmente para, vantajosamente, aumentar a fração de energia sísmica transmitida para a formação, enquanto impedindo danos à formação.
