Abstract
"MéTODO E SISTEMA PARA CONTROLE DE FLUXOS EM SUBCANAIS DE REDES DE COMPUTADORES". Método e sistema para controlarem uma pluralidade de subcanais em uma rede de computadores são divulgados. A rede de computadores inclui pelo menos um comutador. A pluralidade de subcanais utiliza o comutador para transmissão de tráfego através da rede. O método e o sistema incluem a permissão para que um fluxo mínimo seja estabelecido para cada um da pluralidade de subcanais e determinando se existe congestionamento para o canal. O método e o sistema também incluem o controle de um fluxo em um subcanal da pluralidade de subcanais apenas se existir congestionamento. Uma vez que seja determinado que o congestionamento existe, o tempo estabelecido para controle de subcanais é ajustado significativamente mais longo do que para controle através de diminuições ou aumentos individuais dos fluxos em subcanais. O fluxo é controlado de modo que o fluxo para o subcanal pode ser aumentado linearmente, se o fluxo para o subcanal da pluralidade de subcanais for menor do que o fluxo mínimo. O fluxo também é controlado de modo que o fluxo para o subcanal da pluralidade de subcanais é diminuído exponencialmente, se o fluxo for maior do que o fluxo mínimo. Na determinação de se aumentar ou diminuir o fluxo em um subcanal, uma segunda definição de congestionamento pode ser usada. Desse modo, o tráfego através do comutador é estável.
