Abstract
"MéTODO APERFEIçOADO PARA BINARIZAçãO DE IMAGENS". Descreve-se um método para binarizar uma imagem de entrada de nível cinza (20), que inclui uma pluralidade de pixels que têm valores de nível cinza respectivos. Um limite inferior e um limite inferior são determinados. Um primeiro valor binário é designado para os pixels na imagem de nível cinza, que têm valores de nível cinza acima do limite superior, e um segundo valor binário é designado para os pixels na imagem de nível cinza, que têm valores de nível cinza abaixo do limite inferior. Os pixels em um grupo intermediário, que têm valores de nível cinza entre os limites inferiores e superiores, são processados de modo a determinar designações ótimas dos pixels no grupo intermediário para o primeiro e segundo valores binários.
