"MéTODO E SISTEMA PARA TRANSMISSãO DE INFORMAçãO DE DESCRIPTOGRAFAçãO". No momento da difusão da TV-Paga com sinais de multicanais, cada canal está associado a mensagens de autorização (ECM) que permitem descriptografar esse canal de acordo com os direitos do assinante. Quando da mudança de canal, um tempo muito curto é aceito antes que tenha terminado esses novos direitos em relação ao novo canal. Os pesados algoritmos de criptografação são, assim, excluídos. Para evitar essa desvantagem, para descriptografar um canal, um sistema é proposto usando a combinação da informação de autorização para um canal (ECM) e, desse modo, criptografado por um algoritmo rápido, com informação de autorização (MECM) para um grupo de canais. Esses últimos são criptografados por um algoritmo de alta segurança e são, assim, mais lentos de descriptografar.
