Abstract

"MéTODO PARA A REMOçãO DE GASES DE PROCESSO PROVENIENTES DE CéLULAS ELETROLìTICAS, E, DISPOSITIVO PARA USO EM CONEXãO COM UMA CéLULA ELETROLìTICA". A presente invenção se refere a um método e a um dispositivo para se reduzir a emissão de gases de processo provenientes de células Hall-Héroult para o ar ambiente. As células compreendem uma superestrutura de anodo (1) com tampas que podem ser abertas para se ter acesso aos anodos das células, dentre outras coisas. A superestrutura de anodo compreende um sistema de extração para a remoção de gases de processo, cujo sistema de extração é ajustado para remover uma quantidade padronizada de gases de processo durante a operação normal da célula. O sistema de extração é projetado de um modo que uma quantidade aumentada de gases de processo é removida quando as tampas da superestrutura de anodo forem abertas. Uma concretização da presente invenção inclui uma parede vertical de separação (10') a qual é localizada no interior da superestrutura de anodo e contribui para um padrão de fluxo aprimorado para a superestrutura de anodo.
