Abstract
A expressão da PFI em células hospedeiras transgênicas proporcionar a produção de ácidos graxos conjugados na célula hospedeira."NUCLEIC ACID SEQUENCES THAT CODE POLYENOIC FATTY ACID ISOMERASE AND USES OF THE SAME". Nucleic acid methods and sequences for the production of conjugated fatty acids in host cells are provided. The nucleic acid sequences are obtained from algal sources which encode the polyenoic fatty acid isomerase. Nucleic acid sequences can be used in expression structures to direct the expression of PFI sequences in host cells. The expression of PFI in transgenic host cells provide the production of conjugated fatty acids in the host cell.
