Abstract

"MéTODO PARA CARREGAR UMA BATERIA, E, CARREGADOR DE BATERIA PARA CARREGAR UMA BATERIA". Métodos e aparelho para carregamento de bateria proporcionam um ciclo de carregamento em que períodos de carregamento se alternam com períodos de descarregamento. Durante os períodos de carregamento, uma bateria chumbo-ácido é carregada em uma taxa de cerca de 0,55 <sym>C AmpÞres até cerca de 0,65 <sym>C, onde C é a capacidade da bateria em AmpÞres hora. Os períodos de carregamento têm durações de cerca de 60 a 180 segundos. Durante os períodos de descarregamento a bateria é descarregada em uma taxa na faixa de cerca de 0,05 <sym>C a cerca de 0,07 <sym>C. Os períodos de descarregamento têm durações de cerca de 10 a 20 segundos. Através da introdução de períodos de descarregamento durante o carregamento da bateria, a resistência interna da bateria é diminuída e menos calor é gerado durante o carregamento. O tempo de carregamento é cerca de 1 - 2,5 horas para baterias chumbo-ácido.
