Abstract
"MéTODO E SISTEMA PARA PROVER UM NìVEL DE QUALIDADE DE SERVIçO REQUERIDO PARA UMA CHAMADA QUE SEJA ORIGINADA EM UMA REDE MóVEL DE TELECOMUNICAçõES DE RáDIO E QUE SEJA ENCAMINHADA VIA UMA REDE DE COMUTAçãO POR PACOTES, E, MéTODO PARA ACESSAR UMA REDE DE COMUTAçãO POR PACOTES A PARTIR DE UMA REDE MóVEL DE TELECOMUNICAçõES DE RáDIO". Sistema e método de prover uma qualidade requerida de serviço (QOS) para uma chamada que seja originada em uma rede móvel de telecomunicações de rádio e que seja encaminhada via uma rede de voz sobre protocolo Internet (voice-over-Internet protocol) (VOIP) (#), Conexões de sinalização são estabelecidas entre uma central móvel de comutação (MSC) (4) na rede móvel e pelo menos um Ponto de Conexão VOIP (6). System and method of providing a required quality of service (QOS) for a call that originates on a mobile radio telecommunications network and is routed via a voice-over-Internet protocol (VOIP) network (#), Signaling connections are established between a mobile switching center (MSC) (4) on the mobile network and at least one VOIP Connection Point (6). The MSC sends an Initial Address Message (IAM) (11) to the VOIP Connection Point and includes a new required QOS parameter (12). The Connection Point checks with a gatekeeper (8) on the VOIP network to determine if the required QOS can be provided. If the required QOS can be provided, an indication that the required QOS can be provided is sent from the packet-switched network to the mobile network, If the required QOS cannot be provided, an indication (16) that the required QOS cannot be provided is sent from the packet-switched network to the mobile network.
