Abstract
"APARELHO E PROCESSO PARA DETERMINAR A CONDIçãO FìSICA DE UMA TUBULAçãO". Um aparelho (1) para determinar a condição de uma tubulação é constituído de um dispositivo condutor (2), uma chapa calibradora (3) e um dispositivo de detecção (7) . O aparelho (1) é também dotado de um dispositivo de transmissão (4) para indicar a um local remoto a detecção da presença de defeitos físicos na tubulação. Quando o aparelho (1) passa por um defeito físico na tubulação, a chapa calibradora (3), que pode ser elastomérica, será deformada ou dobrada. Consequentemente, o dispositivo de detecção se comunicará com o dispositivo de transmissão, que por sua vez indicará o defeito a um local remoto. O dispositivo de transmissão pode estar sob a forma de um sistema acústico, eletromagnético, nucleónico ou mecânico. An apparatus (1) for determining the condition of a pipeline consists of a conductive device (2), a calibration plate (3) and a detection device (7). The apparatus (1) is also provided with a transmission device (4) to indicate to a remote location the detection of the presence of physical defects in the pipeline. When the device (1) undergoes a physical defect in the pipeline, the calibrator plate (3), which can be elastomeric, will be deformed or bent. Consequently, the detection device will communicate with the transmission device, which in turn will report the defect to a remote location. The transmission device may be in the form of an acoustic, electromagnetic, nucleonic or mechanical system. The device allows the physical condition of a pipe to be monitored without having to retrieve the pig from the pipe to examine it visually.
