A unidade de geração de dados de subchave 101 possui dois processos de geração de subchave diferentes. Quando criptografando um (T*n)° bloco de texto simples (onde T denota um ciclo predeterminado e n é um número inteiro positivo), dezesseis grupos de dados de subchave são gerados. Em todos os outros casos, dois grupos de dados de subchave são gerados. A unidade de criptografia 100 criptografa o texto simples utilizando os dezesseis ou dois grupos de dados de subchave gerados.
