Abstract

The method is used in light industry, elecronics, mechanical engineering and in other fields where precision parts are employed. It reduces the comsumption of metal as the metal is recycled and the die is multiply used. The method includes the following technological operations. A wooden model of the die is made and it is being used for casting a gypsum cast which is used for making a ceramic mould. The ceramic mould is dried and baked at temperature higher than that of the melted metal. The baed ceramic mould is removed and is subjected to control and any detected defects are removed. The ceramic mould is reinforced in send base, then it is heated up to a temperature close to that of the melted metal and the melted metal is cast into it. It is then cooled in accordance with the technological requirements, where control of the geometrical dimensions and the smoothness of the walls of the finished product is made again after the removal of the mould.
