This composition finds application in dental mechanics for moulding and casting dentures, bridges etc. This low-ash product contains a limited number of polyethylene wax (PEW) based components, the wax representing a by-product from the manufacture of low and high density polyethylene, and beeswax. The composition is made up of, in parts by mass: 80-98 I fraction PEW with a characteristic viscosity in xylene at 105 degrees C - 0.17 g/dl, 2-3 II fraction PEW with a characteristic viscosity in xylene at 105 degrees C - 0.13 g/dl and 2-20 beeswax. The various PEW fractions are obtained by fractional settling of PEW solutions in xylene.
