Abstract
The method is applied in surgery upon conducting organ-conserving operations of parenchymic organs. It ensures high hemostatic and medical properties of the material, stability upon lyophilization, sterilization and enduring conservation. Fraction I-III following Konn of plasma proteins is solved in a buffer of pH 5.17-5.25 and is left to stay at a temperature between 4 to 8 degrees C, after which the liquid is filtrated. Later, the filtrate is pH-adjusted to 6.8-7.2. Then gelatine is added for an end concentration of 37 g/l and thrombin to an end concentration of 125 E/l. The so-derived foamy mass is poured onto a plate and cooled to a temperature of minus 20 degrees C. On the table, a polyamide antiseptic sheet is laid. There follows a 24-hour lyophilization to an end sheet temperature of 99 degrees C.
