Abstract
The method is applicable in agriculture for preparation of thiazole derivatives, which are active components in herbicide compositions with selective effect towards rice cultures. According to the method, thiazole derivatives with the general formula<IMAGE>or their salts are prepared through interaction of certain compounds with the formula<IMAGE>with chlorine or bromine, when R6 represents a halogen atom. After that, in some cases, the CZOH group is transformed into a CZR9 group, which is a carboxyl or an ester group, or R9 is SR10 group, where R10 is low alkyl radical and Z is an oxygen or sulphur atom. When R6 represents a nitro or amino group, the compounds are prepared through interaction of ester derivative of a compound with a general formula II with weak nitrating agent and after that, in some cases, the nitro group is hydrated to an amino group or the ester group is transformed into CZR9, where Z and R9 have the meanings indicated above.
