The gate applies to vacuum installations for processing strip materials. It has a firm and reliable operation and prolonged serviceability. The strip gate includes an elastic T-shaped prism (1), mounted tightly through its feathers to a wall (7) with an oval hole by means of L-shaped bands (2) and clamping elements (6). In the prism (1) is a slot formed in which is situated the strip to be processed. On both sides of the walls of the longitudinal feather of the prism, clipping elements are mounted. They can be executed as a hoses (3), connected to a pneumo-system and situated between the L-shaped bands (2) and movable plates (4).
