Abstract

The planetary gear is applicable in all spheres of mechanical engineering and is particularly suitable for machines which have to change their gear ratio in a wide range and where it is desirable for it to be finely adjusted. The invention allows for continuously variable change of the gear ratio by adjusting the angular velocity of the stopped unit of the planetary gear, which is achieved by adding a hydraulic control profile (hydraulic part of the gear) consisting of two hydraulic machines (hydraulic motor and hydraulic pump) and a throttle valve in the pressure line between them, as well as of an oil tank (fluid). The input shaft (5) rotates a sun gear (4), which in turn drives the planetary gear wheels (3), and they rotate, when the throttle valve (9) is open, a pinion carrier (6) which drives, through a gear wheel (11), a hydraulic pump (7) and it begins to draw in oil (fluid) from the tank (10), feeding it into the hydraulic motor (8). When the throttle valve (9) is partially closed, the pressure in the pressure pipe increases, which impedes the rotation of the pinion carrier and it decreases its angular velocity, and the angular velocity of the output shaft (2) begins to increase.
