Abstract

The proposed method and device for condensing a cooling agent can find a wide application in the refrigerating and air-conditioning engineering, and have the goal to simplify the design of the refrigerating and air-conditioning systems by avoiding compressors of the known so far type. Since the traditional compressor is absent in this system, lubricating oil is not needed, as well as a device forits separation from the cooling agent. Falls away also the necessity of a separate cooling fan used in the systems with air-cooled condenser, because this function is fulfilled by the proposed device. An electric motor (1) drives the device. The compression (squeezing) of the cooling agent is accomplished inside the blades of a special design fan (4), under the action of centrifugal forces. The cooling of the cooling agent is provided by the air stream passing along the blades of the rotating fan (4). On their side, the blades of this fan (4) are ribbed for rendering maximal heat removal. Bringing the cooling agent to the fan (4) and taking it away is accomplished through mechanical seals (3 and 5). In case of need, this design may be with two-stage, three-stage, or multistage execution, with two or more fans (4), mounted on one shaft, in order to reach higher gas pressure in the system and better cooling.
