Abstract
The pedal can be used in all kinds of motor vehicles, in particular in automatic transmission cars. It helps improve and simplify the motor vehicles control and raise the safety. This is achieved through combining the gas pedal and the brake pedal into one common pedal, as a result of which no time is needed for shifting the right foot from the gas pedal over to the brake pedal in case of a necessity to stop short. The risk is avoided also, in critical situations when it is necessary to stop with a jerk, for the driver to step on the gas pedal instead of the break pedal. The pedal consists of the brake pedal (1), the gas pedal (2), an arm (3) of the two-in-one pedal, a spring (4) of the gas pedal, a throttle line (5), stroke of depressing (6) of the break pedal (1) with a direction of its operation, stroke of the gas pedal (2) with a direction of its operation when released, a hinge (8) connecting the brake pedal (1) and the gas pedal (2), a bush (9), a throttle line (5) with a solid end piece (10) attached thereto and connected to the gas pedal (2) through a hinge, a hinge (11) for fastening the pedal to the body. In order to perform the pedal functions, an idle stroke mechanism and an idle stroke device are used, through which the gas pedal and the throttle valve return to an idle stroke position.
