Abstract

The burner is designed for the combustion of particulate fuel, in particular particulate coal with high levels of inert material. It has higher combustion efficiency. It comprises a secondary air tube (3) for entering the entire amount of secondary air. Tube (3) is arranged around a burner longitudinal axis (27) and closed at the end away from the burner opening (2) by means of an end wall (38), and a primary mixing tube (4) for entering primary air, of primary gas and fuel, respectively, concentrically surrounding the secondary air tube (3) to form an annular cross-section (9). Tube (4) comprises a flow stabilization region (49) in the flow direction of the primary mixture (20) to tube (3) and an end wall (38), forming channel (40) which looked from the perimeter engaging at least part of tube (4) serving for the introduction of the secondary air flow (19). Tube (4) has at least two through channels (35), connecting the channel (40) to the inner cross-section of tube (3), and crossing the annual cross-section (9).
