Abstract

The cap is designed to protect the wine of an already opened bottled from oxidation and keeping the bottle airtight. It can be an integral part of the bottle or an additional accessory to it. The cap includes a hollow cylindrical body (2), which has a bottom (8) at its upper end and threading (3) along its inner-surrounding surface. On the bottom (6) a central hole (7) is formed which has an elongated chute for housing a valve (5). Sideways of the central hole (7), on bottom (6) at least one pressure compensator is envisaged which can be a hole, an aperture or a flap. Valve (5) is mounted in the lower part of container (8) containing inert gas. Under bottom (6) a plastic stopper (10) is found, having a body (11, 18) and flange (13). Body (11, 18) of the plastic stopper has sealing rings (12) along their outer surface. To the upper part of bottom (6) a housing (4) is fixed, in which container (8) is found. The upper part of housing (4) is closed by a lid (16).
