Abstract

The assembly can be used in nuclear techniques and techhnology. It reduces the deformation of the spacer grids, thus increasing the regular dispersion of mechanical forces between units and elements of the construction, reducing the form of variatrion of the fuel assembly, as well as in its whole and the separate elements thereof. The fuel assembly comprises spacer gids (1 and 11), poisitioned along its length for forming a hexagonal beam of fuel elements (2), sockets in the form of angle plates (7), fixed to spacer grids (1 and 11), and to the rear part (4), and guiding channels (5). Sockets (8) are mounted in the guiding channels (5) with guaranteed clearance not exceeding 1.5 mm with respect to ends of the spacer gids (1 and 11). The sockets of the first spacer grid (11) are fitted from the side of the lower end, and along the remaining spacer grids (1) the sockets (8) are fitted from the side of the upper end. 3 claims, 4 figures
