Abstract

The acoustic device is used in the production of loudspeakers, in particular of such of multi-mode type. Its design is light-weight and thin. It includes a box-like cavity (2) closed from its face side by an acoustic radiation unit (5) elastically suspended on it. The suspension (6) includes opposite fitted elastic bands made of foam rubber. The radiation unit (5) is mounted in the cavity (2) between L-shaped panel elements (9, 10) fixed together by a fixing component (11). The invention also relates to modification of the modal behaviour if the acoustic device. 7 claims, 28 figures
